Today, my girlfriend brought me to TD bank so she could go to the atm, and, they're open sundays! Grabbed $8 in nickels and $2 in pennies... and of course my only nickel find was in the first roll- but it was a neat one anyway. 1981 S proof, with no major blemishes! I almost never find proofs, and was happy to "rescue" this one from circulation.

I noticed it from the side- kinda like finding silver in a quarter roll or something. Much more brilliant than the others, even from the side.

Nice. All the proofs I find in circulation are pretty scuzzy.

Nice find! I have yet to pull my first proof from circulation. Hopefully a little of your good fortune will come my way.

Nice Jefferson. :)

WOW! I haven't ever seen a proof in real life but that Jefferson looks AMAZING! I understand now what it means when people say "frosted" and "mirror".

Great post!

nice jefferson proof! I average one proof per 25,000 nickels I search through.

Go back and buy the rest that they have! Maybe somebody spilled the wrong tube into the local Coinstar.
