The coin with the ship and the shield is the Portuguese 2½ Escudos from 1932, the coin in the middle of the 6th row is the U.S. Mercury dime, the British penny from 1902 is the one on the top right. The Ceylon coin is in the 3rd row, far right.

what sort of value are they worth? I had a hard enough time finding the mintages for nz

The 1932 Portuguese 2 1/2 Escudos coin is by far the most valuable. It looks to be about VF, which is valued at $20.

I see that no one has yet identified the square coin on the far right in the 2nd row. It is a 1 Anna from the Indian state of Hyderabad minted in the 1940s

i did find mention of the chook coin being a 4 plume which is rarer. we could use a kick in the money box so yes I could be open to offers, I just have no idea what I should accept for them

I think biggfredd was referring to the copper variety of the 1943 USA cent, which is very rare and worth tens of thousands. Yours looks to be the zinc plated steel one, which is far more common and not worth more than $1.

Check with a magnet: if it sticks, it's the steel variety.

In case you care your Hyderabad anna is dated AH 1366, or AD 1946.
