Hi there. I found this in my change tonight and I'm just wondering if anyone can explain what's going on with this dime and if it is a DDO or just MD? Thanks in advance for any responses.

It's a combination of Die Deterioration and Machine Doubling, which is common for dimes of that period.

The die that made your coin was one step out the door for retirement. They just abused this die for a time after it should have been retired. VLDS

Hey thanks coop. I kinda figured that it might have been something along those line but just needed that confirmation from the pros to confirm it. Thanks again for your response and for your help.
