I went a bit crazy this weekend on new purchases. Once I get these, these will all be the better parts of my collection. Listed below is what I bought, and for how much, let me know what you think. Both choices and price.
As a new collector, I am focusing on Modern Silver coins, mostly looking at Silver as an investment. This way, I will (hopefully) prevent myself from purchasing an over graded coin. I am trying to be conservative while learning as much as I can.
Thanks in advance to those who take the time to reply. I love this site, and I am thankful for those who have been willing to spend their free time helping me learn more about this hobby.

I was so excited about my weekend haul, I missed the start of the game to type up this post. That is NOT like me at all. I am becoming an addict.

I am sure that I am being sensitive here, but 190 looks and not one comment? Should I assume that the masses are not nearly as excited as I?

I am to lazy to look up all of those items values so I don't know if you did good or not. Are you happy with the purchase? If so that's all that matters. There are a few nice ones in there I like. John1

Kennedy is the half for that time period. The rest I have never purchased so I can't speak on price. Hope that helps some, but as originally posted above, if you are happy with it, that is all that matters.

Sydney? Not sure but is that one of our suburbs of Chicago? Quote: I seen the game Sunday, one full day before you and it was LIVE as well..... WOW if you seen it a day ahead of us you should have posted the results and we could have made millions on bets. DivChasser: Looks like you did get a bit crazy there. From what you said you didn't get them yet so I presume you used either ebay or another web site. Why such an assortment? You mentioned buying as an investment. Haven't you seen all the posts saying coins are a really bad chose for inveesting? And metals, such as Silver, could go up or down overnight. Hopefully your happy with those as a starter for whatever your coin collecting goals may be but I'd really suggest you decide exactly what you want to collect. What you listed is rather a large variety. Of course most coin collectors are sort of directional and sort of stick to one thing or a small variety. Just one of the many interesting things about coins. No such thing as a right or wrong way to collect.

1986 two coin Statue of Liberty Proof, Silver dollar and clad half - $24.50 Seems Fair to me. Considering melt on the two dollars is $52, I'd say you did OK.

Wow ... that's quite an assortment of various coins by a new collector ...
At the end of the day our opinions do not matter ... ask yourself ... are you pleased with them?
That's what matters in this hobby.
That said ... consider taking a deep breath and finding some level of focus for your enthusiastic efforts ... most of us eventually find a favorite way to collect that brings the same joy ... but with a cohesive goal in mind.

Thanks to all for the comments. It was a bit of a scattershot approach. I got going with coins that I thought were going below melt from one ebay seller. The two polar coins were purchased just because they are 1oz silver each and I was able to get both for less than what a 1 oz bullion should have been priced at. He had horrible pictures and ending times. I may try to resell both of those. I have been drawn to commemoratives, and silver mint sets

Quote: I have been drawn to commemoratives, and silver mint sets Odd thing about that is I too used to like them a long, long time ago. Now out of virtually thousands and thousands of coins, I only have a few from back then. For some reason lost interest in them shortly after the first ones.
