I have made a list of only some of whats here. 1 x 37 crown. florins in assorted condition 2 x 27. 1 x 31. 1 x 47. 3 x 51. 1 x 53. 5 x 54. a 55, a 57, and a couple each of 60,1,2,3 In the pennies, 2x 25. 3x 46 2 x 39 roo. a few 31's. a 48 Y.
Still going through them and putting lots more pics up, all help appreciated. Edited by LostnFound 02/06/2012 8:35 pm

Make sure that you are logged on and that the pics are less that 100k in size. If they are too big just resize them untill they are ubder the 100k limit

sorry, new at this. why are the pics so tiny? I used the optimizer because they were too big, cropped them and this is what came out.

Did you use the free image optimizer on here or just reduce the actual width and height? If you log in, click reply to topic, then you will see free image optimizer up the top. Click that and follow instruction, then save to you computer and upload that image. I hope that is lustre for you but IMO the 1946 looks painted, sprayed, dipped or harshley cleaned. Please post more pictures. We love seeing them!

Hi enworb, I did use the optimiser on here and followed the instructions I thought lol. The coin does have a lustre to it, its like brighter close to the edges and on the outline of the roo for example and then its kind of tarnished in between the brighter spots. There are 2 other 46's in the batch I got as well as 2 25's but only this 1 has the shine like that. I have been tinkering with the images but I don't know what I'm doing. Crash course time I guess. There are 2x 49's and a 47 that are really bright n shiny as well and some 60's 1's in what looks like really nice condition to a beginner. There's lots of 3pence,sixpence,florins and a 37 crown as well. can't wait to figure out how to get better picks up and see what you all think of them.

the fiver is from 1954 through to 1960. the 1 pound if I'm seeing it right, is from 1938 to 1952. I cant help with values though as I dont know enough to make that judgement. the 27 florin looks interesting, is it worn?

Sounds like you got a good lot. The colour of the 46 doesn't look convincing as lustre to me but once better photos are up it will help. It took me a while to work out the photography an I still have a long long way to go. I would put the average 1946 penny within the $50-100 range and most 1925 in the $100-200 but that is for coins in the F-aVF range. Awaiting pictures eagerly!

To Erkle, The 27 florins are a bit worn as in the pearls are gone which I've picked up on by reading posts on here is something to check. Otherwise I don't know what to look for to tell you the truth. To Enworb, The pics dont really catch the colour right. Hopefully i'll get the camera and lighting worked out tomorrow so I can put up some better shots for ya.

if your camera has a macro or super macro try those options and get the lens as close as you can, no flash but plenty of light, nothing directly shining on the coin that produces my best pics when I do them that way.

If your camera is over 10 megapixel I would suggest taking the photo with the macro mode on as erkle suggests but I would take the photo back a bit with no zoom. The high megapixel should allow you to zoom after taking the shot without losing too much sharpness. If it is less than 10mp then go with erkle

The colour looks much more normal. Keep trying to get a sharp image but that looks like a high quality coin, asuming it is genuine lustre I can see. Would love to see some of the 1925 pennies!
