 , LostnFound! In addition to using macro, you need to reduce shake. using a tripod and timer is good, but putting the camera on something solid like a few books will help. |

Thanks for all this help guys. Estimates on the value of any of these coins is much appreciated as well.
Aus coins its kinda obvious when you see them side by side, thanks for that. The 1 looks a bit funny on the copy even to me and looking at a very shiny 49 I have here I can see the colour is all wrong, more a red gold on the real 1 and a yellow gold look on the copy.

LostnFound,any chance of some pics of the 25 pennies now that you have been getting better pics I would like to see a couple of close ups of either side as one of them looked quite good even in the blurry pic.

The 1946 is a genuine coin but I dont think the lustre looks right. It may have been cleaned or dipped in something long ago. It is very hard to tell from photos though and it really could go either way. I have been stung before with photos that look convincing that turn out to be cleaned or painted. If uncleaned it is worth heaps. Photos are very good now.

i think this is the better of the 2, 6 pearls and a can still see all 4 sides of the diamond. What do you think?   |

Both the 1925 pennies would grade VF The 1946 in my humble opinion is Genuine and looks untouched aUNC -UNC Very Very nice coin  If you are not intending to keep these I would suggest getting them graded and slabbed which will make it a lot easier to sell them. |

Thanks for that suggestion trout. I have a very good feeling about this 46 so I was thinking to get it Professionally graded. I am an hr nth of Sydney on the central coast so I guess i'll need to go to Sydney for a trip to find someone. Suggestions from members are welcome if anyone can recommend someone reputable in the area.

Yeah the 25's would grade in the range of VF & are worth about $125 to $175 each.
The 46 is definitely a real good coin,i was going to say earlier that it looks uncirculated to me but has been handled & the handling has stripped the lustre off all the high points,but still a lovely coin.

Without a full centre diamond I can only see they 1925 at F grade but theyre still nice with no verdigris or major rim nicks.
