This is a 39 roo I found amongst them. Pic of 1 side is good, the other is a bit blurry but getting better on most of them. More to follow.

The roo is in fairly good condition, probably. $30-60 worth I have found these dont usually sell anywhere close to catalogue. Its hard to tell from that angle even though the photo is very clear. I think anywhere from F-VF without being able to get a clear shot of the kings side burns which is usually one of the first things to go.

try using this link for silver values of the coins. http://www.australian-threepence.co...n-values.htmkey dates are ( in my opinion) 1915,1923, 1934, 1942, those 3 are the main ones, then comes 1914, 1916 and 1924. I may have missed some. but please remember I am a beginner as well, but this forum has some excellent teachers

Hey LostnFound, Since your getting all the other good dates you better check if you have a 1930 penny.
The 39 Roo halfpenny looks to be at least VF. The 31 penny looks like it has verdigris all over it,try to keep it away from the other coins,it does look to be fairly good grade though & your photo's are getting better.

Thanks Angel, Erkle, and Enworb. I really appreciate the help. Definately no 1930 here though, that would be too much to hope for. I did get some better pics of the nice 46 but its hard as its is so shiny. I took pics from a few dif angles so at least you will be able to see how the light hits it from all sides.

The last lot of pics of the 46 are much better & with all the lustre still in & around the legends/lettering that coin would probably be worth at least a couple hundred bucks, very nice. From the pics of the 37 crown, the obverse is not worn but the reverse looks like it has a substance all over it,may be the way the pic was taken though.

Threepences are my speciality, Coin very basic quality, scrap value is like 50c each. On ebay you would get $1 for the wheat years $3 for the coat of arms years The 1946 penny seems ok, I can see the kangaroos jaw line, would like to be able to see the eye a bit better.
