Is this a 1955 D? If so that resembles a D over S.

Looks like a contact mark. I didn't see anything listed in an older publication like that. It listed 4 different dies.

I'm inclined to side with coop. It's the shape of the MM that does it for me as it seems to take thickness from the top arc of the D.

At least I guessed the date right and mint
I think it "resembles" a 55 D over S but wasn't saying that it was one.

Here's a couple images, one is PCGS and the other is my D over S
