Note the added amount of detail on the "open mouth" variety....makes me think this coin was struck with too much die pressure. I would wager a bet it also has a very thick rim. When the die struck with the added pressure it pressed deeper than normal into the planchet. Just a guess

Nice find. I don't know if that is an error or if that is worth anything, but it is pretty different. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that and it would be interesting to see if there are any more out there.

i dont see any difference in the rim thickness, but the coin itself is a bit thinner than others I have in same condition.

Very cool coin. Something else to keep an eye open for. I have never seen that variety, but I noticed it as soon as I saw your pic. It's the burping Franklin variety!
