Once you get the required number of posts I am sure there are many here on this forum that will buy some from you (me included). If you do not want to wait then I would suggest taking some good pictures of the coins and sell them on ebay.

I would be more than interested in taking a look at your coins, but you will have to wait till you have the required number of postings. I know others on this forum would be interested as well. Can you post some images of your coins so we can give you our opinions? That will help with the number of posts. BTW

Depending on how they look and cost I wouldn't mind seeing what you got, when you reach 250 posts. That may sound like a lot, but if you post often 250 will fly by quick.

I got all these coins in a storage locker and they have cert.on them from London england in 1943 and from new York in 1953. took them to a coin shop on Monday to get a appraisal and all he did was try and buy them from me.

Good thing you didn't sell. When you post pics we can give you much info on them. And if you sell here (when you are able), you'll know they'll be going to good homes

Sounds Greek but even with pics I probably wouldn't know. I only collect Roman and some Byzantine coins.

Unfortunately, I cannot call you as I don't have long distance or a cell phone. Just upload the photos to a PC and then use an image editor. Easy to do.

Or use a scanner, if you have one and you don't know how to upload pictures from your phone.

Might be difficult to use a scanner for a metric ton of coins. Unless he just scans a dozen or so at a time.

I scan multiple coins at once and then isolate each individual coin to separate them into their own files. It could work. I would like to point out, though, that scanning coins can often hide the finer details and inaccurately portray the color of the patina (without arduous work in photo shop).

I am very painfully aware of that fact. Although, I make no modification to the photo other than to crop and rotate the coin into proper position. Apparently, I'd rather buy coins than a new camera. lol
