Very nice! So, how many birds do you have in all?
I have the Kazakh owl but haven't seen the snowcock yet.
Is it me or monsieur Garros looks like V. van Gogh with prosthetic ears?

Cool, I didn't remembered that French coin (I'm French, I was collecting those 20 years ago when I was young). You'll have a lots of roosters in the French coins actually, some with a nice style, some more regular.

Nine examples! I am another one wondering how many "bird" coins you have?

nancyc....nice bird coins..I also would like to see more of your collection with birds. I have only one coin with a bird on it. From the Canadian 2006 specimen set it is the dollar designed by Canadian artist Glen Loates of a snowy owl. I have a collection of Glen Loates art and this design on the dollar was taken from the limited edition print of 1986..

Mauritius has a Dodo bird coin. It is gold though so I haven't been able to buy it.
New Zealand has several bird dollar coins you might want to check out.

Here's one of my bird coins, a 5 Rupiah 1970 from Indonesia. It depicts a black drongo.

The USA only recognizes two birds. One, known as the eagle, appears on most of the coins from this country. Good luck collecting them all. The other, know simply as 'the bird', is never found on coins but appears regularly in highway traffic, at sports and political events, occasionally on tv, and pretty much anywhere three or more citizens congregate. Try not to collect any samples of this one at all.
