I have a huge collection of car brochures. Been gathering brochures on every vehicle sold in the USA and Canada since 1969. I visit car swap meets and buy older brochures. My collection dates back to the 1920's now. Half of my basement is a vintage car library.

Also 1:18 scale diecast cars and DVD box sets.

I save the ends of my guitar strings - the part with the brass or colored plastic nubs. Don't ask me why, I think they're cool.

Also, seashells are cool but I need to read up more about them - I mainly keep anything that I like. I've only ever bought one and that was for a meagre $10.

Trout, so you collect office chairs, pictures of Sesame Street characters, CDs and oscillating fans?
Seems odd but each unto his own.

In my younger days I collected baseball cards, stamps, and Star Wars memorabilia, but those are long gone. I have sizable "collection" of board games and DVDs, but those are meant to be used so I don't consider it a collection.

Mineral collecting intrigues me. I plan to someday look into it more closely and possibly take up the hobby.

Along with coins I collect guns, girder and panel sets, plastic toy 54-70mm figures and tin litho western theme toy buildings. The toys get out to play quite a bit, the guns get out to be cleaned and the poor coins have to sit in the safe deposit box feeling neglected.
