When sending coins, I have been putting "Hobby Supplies". Another member in England sent me coins with that description, and I liked that it was accurate and vague.

Other possibilities are Numismatic items, stamped metal, formed metal disks.

Hobby Supplies is fine, actually, that's what they are.

When I used to send and receive coins from my Son in Europe, we both put school supplies on them.

As someone very new to coins collecting, may I ask that you go into some more detail about how to safely purchase online.

I live in Dubai and my biggest concern is how items that I purchase are physically delivered.
Never had this worry before when purchasing online but these items are much more tempting to steal and of much higher values.

Thanks

I label as is and have never had a problem with Australian customs, having shipped to Australia from Canada on numerous occasions in the past
"numismatic coins" is what I put down.

@Darth: Always pay extra for registered mail, mail service that have tracking numbers and requires a signature on delivery. That makes postal employees reluctant to steal, since it will be known at which step the delivery was lost, and your signature will be required so they can't claim it was dropped off either.
Also never us payment services that do not have buyer protection. Worst comes to worst you can file a claim as for a refund when a package is lost. There's no such recourse for direct payment methods such as bank transfers, money orders, personal checks, western union, etc.
