Very strong. Look very cloely and check for trails at a different angle. Might be slight. Check every device.
I had one and didn't know it until Bob look at it. A second set of trails makes it all the better and more likely to bump it up to a major.

Nice!

Look to the south of "ONE CENT". I see something below the "N" of "ONE" and the "C" of "CENT"

Drsandman, thanks for that trail die link. Very informative, I'd never fully understood the various possibilities as to how they might be created.

And, congrats on the 500th post.

Thanks everyone for your input, great community. Just knew trail die couple of days ago here, now I'm excited going through traildies.com, hoping to submit my coin with my name until I see a exact match, 1998P-1DER-029T 040°.

The DESCRIPTION says: Trail die with design extensions at an offset direction of 040 degrees. The tops of the columns and the scrolling of the cornice show moderate trails. EPU continues the design extensions with distortion showing on the tops of most of the letters. The ED STA (UNITED STATES) show the peculiar notching sometimes associated with trail dies. Design extension continues on TES OF AMER (STATES OF AMERICA) with light trails seen on the word CENT. The left URN and the statue of Lincoln both have trail lines.

Those are great pics, I have a lot of trouble taking pics of coins and trails are even harder.I have two or three of my coins on BJ's site It's neat to see my name on there.

On trails, you have to turn them just right so the light falls across the trails to show what you are looking at. Then rotate the coin to show what we are looking at. A lot of times when images of doubled die coins images are taken, the area they want to high light is too light because of glare on the devices. If you turn the coins 180 degrees and let the light fall across the coin you get better images. Then rotate back to horizontal. The eye can can discern the coin better when rotated back. Forgot to mention: That is one of the nicest trails I've seen. Even a braile reader could detect that one.
