One of the listings suggest 1 in 100. doesn't seem to be worth much but cool to find anyway. I'll be searching.

I think with anything like this it is a good idea to hold onto them until you have a few and some idea of their scarcity.

I have at least 2 of them, possibly 3. I got them all in change shopping recently, but can't remember where I put them. The hunt is on! OK, found them, I only have 2.

I've seen less than 100 2010 coins of all types in our local area,so not much chance of me getting these from circulation but there is no way I would pay $20 to get 1 either so not surprised they did'nt sell at that price,a buck or 2 maybe.

I have heard that apparently one die used the so-called bubble error (which in the case of the 2004 pointy A 20 cent piece, I'd be assuming 300,000-400,000 coins). Scarce & worth holding on to. I'm yet to find one, but I haven't gone out hunting for them yet. I'm wondering if they'll come up in mint sets. That would be interesting.

larena, If it hasn't already got a name and as you are the first person to report it here on CCF, I'd think you should have 'naming rights'!

Not sure on it's name, but "the Bubble" sounds good. It is what I believe is a die variety. Think of the 2004 Pointy A variety, McDonalds called it a big head rather than a point A, but pointy A is the name that has stuck over the big head.

haha Goatieman23.....I did think very carefully about what to call it...the first one I sold I just called it a 'circle Cud'...but then I thought 'that just doesn't do it justice' , so I put my creative mind to work and decided in the context of the 'whole design' , it should be called a 'bubble'...so the '2010 bubble' was born. Will be very interesting to see how many are out there, so hop to it everyone....the chase is on !
