This One Has Me Stumped..first Thought Doubled..then Tripled

Jayman931 Pillar of the Community United States 2651 Posts	Posted 02/19/2012 10:25 pm This is on a 1972 P LMC. I had it set aside awhile back and decided to take some pics. My first thought was a Doubled Die...then I kinda leaned towards Die Deterioration. After looking at it from several light angles I though maybe I see triples... Jayman931 Pillar of the Community United States 2651 Posts	Posted 02/20/2012 12:34 am That looks very much like my coin. The LIBERTY looks exactly the same as well. Is it considered a Doulbed Die? I guess I should read up on Hub Doubling and Master Die Doubling and Doubled Dies and the differences. If I am understanding this correctly the Master Die was doubled during the Hubbing.
