This is a stocking stuffer I finally took out to look at. I'm just starting with this series, so I need some help. Also, looks like some verdigris on the 6?

Nice looking, original coin. Slight wear on ribbon, cheek, and highest points. AU55. I am STILL working on this series. Choice, problem free circulated coins can be a challenge in the earlier dates.

For me it is a toss up between EF-45 and AU-50.

AU55, here, too. That business on the 6 might come off. Distilled water and pick away at it with a supple rose thorn or something of that nature. If it's stubborn you'll know that the second you pick at. In that case, of course, let it alone. That's how you find out for sure, though, without compromising the grade. Personally, I wouldn't advise acetone of copper; again, just distilled water.

Thanks for the feedback, all. Vermont: Tell me about it. I've looked at the local shops and it seems the inventory is slim or imo overpriced on these coins. Looks like I'll be shopping at CCF & ebay for most of this set. I'm going to try distilled water first, but if that doesn't free up the verdigris that I'm seeing this is going to be my Verdi-care test subject. I'll be sure to post some after pictures to satiate everyone's curiosity. :P
