thanks to BH1964 aka brad herring, he hooked me up with this beauty! 1925-D $2.5 for $230!
Sorry, but I had to break it out and man handle this thing! gold feels good in your hands right?!

by the way the slab said SURFACE DAMAGE.. it had some nicks but what do you think they were talking about

I will probably be picking more of these up as they are with in my budget - gotta start saving for the next one, or find some silver and then sell... =D

Very nice coin! Little damage to the L in Liberty and at 10 and 2 on the reverse - maybe was a jewelry item?

You're welcome SDcoinguy! It looks better out of the slab!

It could have been a jewelry piece at one time or polished a bit. The details are AU though and most Indians are either a little roughed up or priced at moon money.

decent coin, nice price. Amazing how a collector will take $230 for something like this, but when a little old lady calls me, she wants $500 for her raw one.

A couple of nicks but PCGS came up with their "Genuine" service for one reason...to make more money.
This coin, like many in a PCGS piece of plastic that they claim are not gradable, of course are.

this way, I figure if I just save $20/month , I will have enough at the end of the year to buy one.. that is if gold is still where it is...

Very nice. All of my gold is modern but I plan on getting some for my collection soon. I think I may start with one of these too, thanks so much for sharing.
