As a new collector, I am struck by the artistic beauty of some coins, especially those which are not circular which intrigue me. So why not put on show those unusual shaped coins for all to enjoy? Limits: must be metal, non-circular, and used as money at some time and place anywhere in the world. To start the ball rolling: 1956 - 2 Anna coin, India ( 25.2mm diagonal, 5.7g )

This was issued as a coin, but I am not sure if it was considered real money. 2007 $1 Solamlia

, Anaximander! side note: I countries with low literacy, coins are often given odd shapes to help identify them. holed coins are counted on spikes with spacers, instead of rolls.

This Estonian commemorative 10 krooni-coin is round... Still it has an unusual form due to the holes...

That Estonian coin is amazing. How big is it? 10 Krooni seems a low value for such an elaborate coin. Does it commemorate something?
Some amazing coins here- thanks everyone and lets see some more.

The diameter of the Estonian commemorative is 38.61 mm, is .9999 silver and weighs 24.1g, only 6000 minted.
