Upload 90% of ended items with tracking information within 1 day =/

Just another way to try to crush small sellers and put big companies with huge shipping depts at an advantage.

You're not losing your badge for it, but you're being downgraded in the search results and fee discount.

I mean come on, seriously? Isn't it bad enough?

Awful, terrible, and unconscionable inconvenience. Another 30 seconds per auction. Whatever will I do. I know, I'll put my stuff on eCrater instead and watch it collect dust. That'll be nice and easy.

14 day return is kind of long. I think 7 or 10 days should be sufficient.

I wish there were other auction companies that could really compete with ebay.

Scubu, obviously you didn't actually read it or comprehend it, try reading it again. No need to be rude.

Nothing wrong with the 14 day return but having to upload every tracking number within 1 day is a bit of a pain in the bum.
I normally only add the tracking number if it is asked for.

I list 2 business days for handling which drops me out of the running for "Top Rated Seller". I ran my seller report and see that I've met all the requirements, just need to change my return policy to 14 days and handling time to 1 business day.

Simple right? Well if buyer's all paid within 24 hours I could change my handling time to 1 business day. You see, once a month I have to travel to Chicago for my job and am gone for 2 days in the middle of the week. Lately many buyers have been waiting 2, 3, 4 days to pay and since my auctions end on Sunday nights, I really can't guarantee 1 day handling.

It's not a big deal to me but it puts sellers at the mercy of when a buyer pays. Once they do pay, you have 24 hours to upload a tracking number and I can't always do that.

I've had excellent luck selling on ebay. I hope that continues. 100% feedback is fine and I'm not really sure what you gain being a "Top Rated Seller" anyway.

The most important benefit (in my opinion) is you get a 20% discount on final value fees when you have Top Rated Seller status. That can amount to some serious bucks.

Another benefit is getting preference in search results.

There may be more, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I don't see what the problem is. I think people have lost touch with what the proper meaning of the words are.

TOP RATED SELLER to me means elite status and good discounts for the seller. Well guess what, they are making people earn that status by doing things the way a top rated seller SHOULD do them IMO. There are a lot of top rated sellers out there that do not deserve to be when reading their feedback. Unfortunately I think the nomenclature has become tainted over the years because ebay was handing out the title for anyone that sold a lot of stuff period.

On the other hand, how are they going to police this policy? Just from reports by users/buyers?

There are plenty of e-tailers out there who have put merchandise in my hands the day after I bought it.

I read through the changes, and the one thing that jumped out at me was the minimum sales per year downgrade - you'll only have to do $1k per year for the rating, instead of $3k.

The rest of the changes are moot for me. I prepare the shipments when I list the item, not after the end, so there's no delay there. Just throw in a packing slip, put the label on and seal the package. I always print shipping labels through Paypal (it's cheaper than mailing from the Post Office), so that end of things is automatic and I can hand it directly to my mailman if I'm too lazy to go to the PO.

The 14-day return doesn't matter. In 12 years of selling on ebay, I've never had a return.
