2012 Proof American Silver Eagle / ASE S Coming Out On 4/12

Teach Pillar of the Community United States 1254 Posts	Posted 03/07/2012 10:28 am The mint just released the sale date for the 2012 Proof ASEs coming out on 4/12. There is some speculation that these might come out as some kind of set. Some think there might be another reverse proof, some think there will be a coin from S, D and P mints. Even more think it could be bundled with the Star Spangled Banner dollar. What do you guys think might be coming up for the ASEs this year? Any guesses out there? If there is a special set, how many should they mint and what type of household limit should they set? Report this Post to the Staff

Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 03/09/2012 11:01 am The mint has sent up some trial balloons about the possibility of another special set of the ASE this year but that does not mean that they wouldn't issue the regular issues as well. They have been very good about issuing the same coin in multiple sets so as to get collectors to buy the same coin multiple times and increase their profits. Report this Post to the Staff
