I'd go Fine-15.

I'll say Fine-12.
While the "I" is visible there is nothing else to justify a grade higher than 12.

matthewvincent,

I did think of that; I only went a little higher because it had more hair detail than your usual Fine. But you are quite correct on LIBERTY; more people use that as a marker for a Fine grade than the hair.

Would this be a case where one side grades higher than the other, in this case reverse grades higher than the obverse, making up an aggregated grade? The reverse seems to me to go VF25 possibly I say that because...

VF30 = Almost complete detail with flat areas; The only think that looks incomplete to me is the wreath around the "V" so I wouldn't say "almost complete detail"

but I would say Some definition of detail, all lettering full and sharp which is a VF20

Thoughts?
Rest in Peace

To coppernickeldaddy,
We Barber people are fussy, and we disregard the ANA standards.
The "I" must show to be a fine.
To be a very fine, the lower, horizontal bar must show.
At least, I will not buy unless I see that lower bar.
That is just me.

To phankins11,
On the reverse, the ear of corn shows no kernels and the knot in the bow at the bottom
does not quite have a split in the middle.
I'll stick to my original opinion: a fine 12.
