Seems I received the wrong coins. My order was for 10 sets of P&D Bison nickels at .99 cents/set w/free shipping. Instead I I got 10 sets of P&D Minnesota quarters and 1 P&D Bison nickel set.
I only paid $9.90 total but I'm not sure if its worth sending back because by the time I go and buy a new padded envelope and pay postage that I shouldn't have had to, I just don't know.

David, I would email the seller and ask them to send the other coins. I'd offer to return the MN quarters but ask them to pay for postage. Don

nds76, Sounds like a mistake. Mail the seller and see if he'll make good on the order. He made the mistake, so ethically he should pay the additional postage. I bought a coin last week that was supposed to come express shipping. The seller stuck a $10.00 bill and an apology in the envelope for not getting it out on time! I did not ask for it but he was worried I would post a neg.It was only two days late! Mike

I just sent a message to the seller. I also went on to say that I shouldn't have to pay for return postage nor for a padded envelope. Hopefully the situation will work out. I really want the Bison P&D sets.

A couple of things: David, I'm sure the seller will correct this problem. I've been mired in shipping and it's easy to make a mistake like that one. I would think he wouldn't have a problem with the return shipping. He probably has another customer who those were meant for anyway. Mike, it's not always to avoid a negative that sellers do things like this. We have had a number of customers who have overpaid for shipping and not combined like we have said we would. We always send back the difference. Often, it's just honest, ethical business practice. I know that it's becoming more and more rare to see this on ebay, but there are still some. A good seller will realize that it's simply not worth a couple dollars to lose a potential long-term customer. That's just good business practice.

Susan, The fear of me posting a neg were his words in the apology letter. I told him there was no way I would give a neg for a shipping snag! He refunded what I had paid additionaly for the overnight shipping. It was no gift! Mike

David, It is not hard to ship the wrong coin to someone. I have done that a few times over the years. Back when we sold lower end coins, it was not uncommon to ship 1 or 2 packages a week. Just recently, I sent a few extra coins to a collector because of a mess up, and now the right coins were lost in the mail. The package arrives, bit no coins. So give the seller a break, and let them impress you.

Just an update, I still have not received a response regarding the matter. Should I start to be concerned now?

I'd wait until tomorrow and then get the seller's contact info and call if you haven't heard anything by then.

Yep, PayPal it was....I still haven't left any feedback yet. I would think a business would get to a complaint as soon as possible. This is rediculous. David quote: Originally posted by Susanlynn9

First, I would contact Paypal and explain what happened and what you have attempted to do to resolve the situation. Once they have begun their investigation, contact ebay and report the seller for bad contact info. If you contact ebay prior to Paypal, Paypal won't begin an investigation until ebay is finished (and they take a long time to do everything and will have nothing to do with getting your money back).
