Here are some pictures of Die Clashed Australian Decimal Coins, starting with 20 Cent: Aust 20c 1999 Rev DC around base of 2  Aust 20c 1999 Rev DC on P'pus bill  Aust 20c 1999 Rev DC under P'pus neck  Aust 20c 2001 Obv DC Under HM's chin  Aust 20c 2001 Rev DC under P'pus neck  Aust 20c 2006 Obv DC Under HM's chin  Aust 20c 2006 Rev DC Under 0 (faint outline of HM's chin)  Aust 20c 2006 Rev DC Under 0 (faint outline of HM's chin)  Aust 20c 2006 Rev DC Under P'pus Neck  I only located 3 years with DC on them, but I'm sure I have more stashed somewhere. I also found some 5c clashes, so will do up some piccies of them next. I also have 10c and 50c clashes to dig out, surprisingly none for $1 or $2, well....not that I can remember.  life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

I love die clashes, especially in decimal as the are so scarce. I have a 2010 50 cent which has a decent clash on it. When I'm back I'll post some pictures here.

Some pictures of my best 50c Die Clash -- 2006. Unfortunately, this coin also has a couple bad scratches on the Obv, and of course they are in the clashed areas, but hopefully you will be able to tell the scratches from the clash marks.  Nice pics Nancy.I find it interesting that you only find them on post 1999 coins. I don't think I have seen one on earlier decimals. They certainly are scarce. |

I have a theory re not finding clashes on older coins. I didn't get back into coins until about 2000, and the older coins got pretty bashed around and the clashes become impossible to see in amongst all the other dings, scratches etc.  The newer the coin, the easier it is to see the clash marks.  Just a theory, but I feel it is possibly / probably the logical explanation.  life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

Same goes for Cuds. Much more prevalent on post 1999 coins. My theory is newer wizz bang machinery(made in China)  But can't argue when a woman goes logical  |

I just located some more of my 10c Die clash coins and there's another DC area I didn't show in previous post. 2001 10c - This is to show the area involved.  2001 10c - Small segments of HM's hair visible between the barbs of the feather.  2001 10c - Small segments of HM's hair visible between the barbs of the feather, same coin as above from a different angle.  2005 10c - Different coin, small segments of HM's hair visible between the barbs of the feather,  life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved
