I acquired four pieces for my 7070 album and upgraded two this past Sunday at the Livermore Valley Coin Club show in Livermore, CA. The new pieces are an AU 1857 Flying Eagle cent, an XF 1864 2 cent piece, a beautifully toned XF 1838 No Drapery Half Dime and the fourth coin I won't have in hand for a few more days is an XF 1829 Capped Bust dime. The two upgraded pieces are the Jefferson nickel 1938 to date which went from a circulated 1999-D I pulled out of my pocket to fill the hole to an MS-64 1950-D (not pictured below) and I replaced my VF-30 1917 Type I SLQ with a nicely toned AU example of the same date. A few of the photos are slightly out of focus but you can still see how they look. Just five coins left to complete the non gold portion of the album, two Half Cents, two large cents and the Shield nickel with rays. The gold page is still waiting to be attended to. +1, those are amazing coins. I'm still working on mine, of course some of the more expensive coins like the Seated dollars are still missing ;) |
