Apparently I had one too many sophisticated adult beverages the other night because after checking my email and PayPal I'm about to get inundated with a ton of notes for my collection over the next several days...

Nothing graded, crazy expensive or very old like so many gorgeous notes here; mainly CU hole fillers or CU upgrades for my $1 & $5 FRN/Silver Cert/USN collection. But it adds up!

I hate seeing my PayPal balance take a hit like that but it's always so much fun when the mail shows up!

@CelticKnot:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this problem.

@WheatBack - I will post photos as soon as the notes get here, which will be sometime next week.

@mfhorn - It's a problem that is always entertaining. I'm just glad it doesn't happen that often (or at least my bank account is).

Been there (hic). In fact, I'm still there.

Just picked this up.

It's the first issue of the BE's, and unlike in all the following issues, it has no alphabet letter before or after the serial number. It is also the only BE issue to have the series date shown above the right-hand serial number.

Not a rare note at all, but imagine what a hit this must have been when it debuted in 1899!

Got my newest note today. I hemmed and hawed about it, but I'm glad I got it.

Super nice notes, Dave and Coinfrog!

Here's one I've had for a little bit that I don't remember posting/having -- 1928 $1 Radar note!

Thanks SSK!

Well it appears I have posted it before, but I don't remember posting it. (Maybe I had a CelticKnot sophisticated beverage dilemma when I posted it. )

Heck, it's worthy of another post I suppose -- I forgot I had it, so it's like a new acquisition all over again!

Dave...I really like the Georiga Bank of Commerce note. There are so many nice and interesting notes during this time period. I thought about starting an "obsolete note" thread but I was unsure how much interest there would be in it.

Very scarce bank here. About 9-10 in the census. This much better looking one sold for $1300 in 2014 on Heritage: http://currency.ha.com/itm/national...bnail-071515
