That is a very nice problem-free low grade key date 2 center! You are right, most of them in grades that low are just plain ugly, but not this one. I would give it a G4

This coin has to be partly graded from the reverse. I think it's a Good 6. The reverse appears to be VG with nice rims and nice grain details. The obverse is weakly struck like many of those of this year. The date is very bold and not weak that would be indicative of an AG3.
