Just wondering if anyone else has seen a 1951 with a die break like this one. At least I think its a die break. Any information will be appreciated. Break is on the 9 on the date and the B in liberty.
Thanks John1, I thought they were . I called them die breaks , sorry, I meant die chips. I have not seen any on the 1951 so I was not sure if it was common or not. Thanks for the info. Lee
This happened a lot on the 50-55 cents that year. The dies were over used and the coins sometimes looked like glorigied slugs with a Lincoln face on them.
