Normal camera totally sucks it only focus in one spot. Not the prettiest coin, but still cool. You can see it's rotated

great work finding one of those, I have been on the lookout but nothing so far (but I don't actively noodle, just my change)

Congratulations !. I have been looking for such rotated (upset ) coins also. Not too much luck so far. Only about 5, maybe 10 degrees rotation. Yours looks nice. Squire

Squire, given that the 50c coin is dodecagonal (has 12 sides) the only upsets possible are multiples of 30 degrees (that is 360 degrees divided by 12). All the 2010 50c of this variety appear to be 30 degrees upset.

Hi markn. Of course you are right . My earlier comment refers to inspection of 20 cent, 50 cent and 1 dollar coins. Unfortunately, all of the 50 cent coins that have passed my inspection have been "content " (ie. not upset) - rotation of 0 degrees. So "Australia coin's" find is quite an inspiration ! Squire

Hi Squire,
Yes, all the 2010 50c coins I've examined are 360 degree upsets too. :D

I only know of 3 of these been found so far. No1. was on silverstackers, to which is where I learnt about this coin No2. ozcoins And No3. my one
I think there fairly hard to find, when I first found out about them I went through all of my 2010 armaguard baggies hoping to get a UNC one. There could have been like 10 bags, all consisting of 2010 COA. Most of them have been put back into the pond I think I have like one sealed bag left. As they turned out to be a common coin in circulation and there was no value in the COA. And then today to my surprise I thought I would turn this coin over and check and it was a rotated one. I would guess that I would have gone through 1000 2010 COA to see this one.
I'm not overly into rotated die coins and error stuff but I still look for them.

yippee.... found a rotated 2010 in a 50 cent plastic bank bag ($10 worth of 50 cent pieces) last night (picture attached). 30 degree rotation. Sure beats 0 or 360 degrees Looks like "Australian coin's" luck is rubbing off. Squire

Hi "Australian Coin" Thanks for bringing the coin "error" to my attention . Perhaps I may not otherwise have noticed it in my inspection of last night. Another reason why "Coin Community" is such a valuable web resource !. Squire
