The second one I would need larger photo of the rev as well as Obverse. It is not the Vam-2ae as the die is the die and the crack is not the same.

Well it is a B1 Reverse and I can't find a match for this one with the break. It looks much like this one with what looks to be a start of a Retained Cud. This could be a "send to Leroy Van Allen coin" but I would wait for other opinions.

The break is much like this one below but this is a different reverse die.

Does anyone have more opinions or thoughts about the VAM?

I do live in sweden, what does "seding it to Leroy Van Allen" mean? Is a picture enough? If I got a unique strike, I wouldn't want to ship it over seas just like that

I can't match it up. If it is to be a New VAM. Leroy Van Allen is the only person that can give it a VAM number, he will only do so if he has the coin in hand. No photo ID's, Van Allen wrote the Morgan and Peace dollar Encyclopedia

How would I go on about doing that?
Googled him and haven't found an actual address to the fellow.
Does he neede a heads up or can someone just send him the coin with a letter explaining it?
Does he charge anything for the service?

Has anyone in here sent him a coin before?

thanks in advance

Hey Spikur-

I recommend you go check out www.vamworld.com -

make a post there about "thinking about sending to leroy" and I'm sure them guys will set you straight .. TWOHAWKS - and Several other I know on there are constantly sending coins over ... I would trust leroy 100% with ANY and ALL of my coins if I had the itch to send it to him -

But again I recommend going to Vamworld and on the message board ask them guys .. A big group of them will be able to explain it better then I could ..

Best of Luck - Hope you do have something new here ..

the cost isn't really an issue here, It would just be cool to find a new VAM...I'll try there, thanks
