I'm just wondering if certain numbers on the COA of Mint products increases the collectors value at all? I'm asking because I've seen a few posts mention their number and others hint that it may. I don't think that they would but if you had #001 for example I could see the appeal I guess.
I find anything under 150 will carry a premium when selling. It would be nice to know if the coa for coins actually are in the same order as when they are produced or just random picks by mint employee's
I just noticed this morning that I had a fairly low number for the 2001 $5 SML of Good Fortune Hologram. #34 of 30,000. I certainly didn't pay any extra for it but that's obviously too small of a sample size for me to disagree with ES.
Thanks guys. Good to know I should look out for the low numbers.
@ elkslayer I'm 99% sure that the COA numbers are random. My gold orca coin is in the 2100s of 2500 and I bought mine in January. The mint is just now claiming they're 90% sold which would put them about where my number is.
