I found this dime earlier today, and it seems to be an off-center strike. I just want to know if this kind of error would make it worth more than 10¢.

Here's the obverse, which isn't aligned properly

And here's the reverse, which seems totally fine

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Those are called MAD coins. The hammer die (Whick is the obverse for your coin)is ajustable. If not centered exactly. The MAD Stands for Miss Aligned Die. These are fairly common. But when the devices fall over the edge of the coin then collectors want them. Here is an example:

These are not off center coins. Note the reverse on Cole's coin above. There are times I've seen them close:

But just not enough to make it collectable. But yours is one of the common ones. Sorry.

Ohh okay then. I was hoping the error was enough to make it a collectable. On the bright side, I learned something new about error coins. Thanks anyway!

That one is probably an off center. The obverse looks like that as well? Then it is an off center. Worth a lot more than a MAD.

the obverse on the Flying Eagle is 100% normal (I wish it wasn't!).

From the other thread it does appear as a MAD then. Thanks for the link.
