I'm looking for help finding info about Nazi German Third Reich Coin Medallion
Said to be given to someone in the 14th Panzer Division. I don't have a picture yet
But the coin on the front has a soldier wearing helmet w/swastika and the rear states
At the top 14 PANZER DIV. in the middle has the date 15.8.40 logo 15.4.42
Across the bottom both sides two I think are to be olive branches,it's thick and about 1-1/8".
I know nothing of German coins or medallions, so any help on where to start would be great.

I can say with some certainty that those medals were not issued during WWII, and certainly not issued in Germany after the fall of the Nazis. The obverse refers to a "Armored Reconaissance Division 40", for which I found no records. The reverse of the medal has English on it. Overall, the style and execution looks made in the past few decades.

Yes IBG it looks like that, but the one I have looks more Bronze golden than the ones I've seen on those sites they look almost grey to me. Goldcoin10, I will try and get photo up but I'm working away so that may take some time because I don't have that coin with me.
DVCollector, It does look like something that is not as old as I was told and you pointed out the english on the back doesn't make sense ether. Thanks for the updates,if you find anything else out let me know.
