It's a clogged die most likely grease.

Why all the polls? Prefer you just post the coin and ask a question ... that way you will not be limited in answers and the experts can help.

Appears to be a Grease Filled Die from here ... but the pixilated photos are not clear.

Good comment, I am new to the site - guess I should go through the forum tips and help files.
Thank you for the heads up.
I will post better pictures, got any tips on how to get sharp close ups? Been using a mag. glass and my phone camera (2Meg)
I have a Lumix 5Meg camera also.

Either filled with grease, or PMD "erased" the 1.

Picture is bad. Really hard to tell what it is. It could be either..PMD or Greaser...but either one wouldn't be worth a premium IMO

Based on the picture I will say the die was contaminated with grease or some other bad substance.
