I recently purchased this attractive three-coin silver 1975 Bolivia commemorative set, it celebrates the 150th anniversary of Bolivia's independence from Spain. Though they are fairly recent issues, I think they have the design aesthetics of coins from earlier in the 20th century. In hand, each coin displays beautiful cartwheel luster and (mostly) peripheral toning.

The coins feature conjoined portraits of Bolivia's 1825 Liberator Simon Bolivar and its 1975 President Hugo Banzer on the reverse. The obverse has Bolivia's coat-of-arms with commemorative inscriptions.

The coins came in a custom holder that I was told was used for presentations of the set, but I'm not certain if this is true.

My questions:

  • Does anyone know which mint struck these coins?
  • The designers name appears below the portraits - 'M Norte' - Does anyone know what name the 'M' represents?
  • Original selling price?

Thanks in advance for any assistance / additional information.

@gxseries: Thanks for the link. I'll have to get a friend who speaks/reads Spanish to assist me.
