I found this anomaly in a roll hunt. It's rim is colored entirely silver/chrome. The sides are shinier than usual, and there is a raised strip of (molten maybe) metal laying across the one side. What happened here? It bugs me out. Um, yeah so I can't upload my picture because its too big or something so forget it then. Or I can post it on any other website, just name it.

What year and mintmark is the dime? It could be a struck through error, but we can't tell, until we see both sides of the coin.
And you can try MS Paint to reduce the size and save it as a JPG. Sometimes it shrinks it too small to see though, but worth a try.

if the raised strip of metal is on the edge it could be a partial collar, but we would need to see pictures to make any real determination on what it is

This is it. I only took a picture of one side. It's all shiny except for a little browning where that strip of metal stripes across. Even the rim is uniform in color all the way around. Eventually I can take another picture or two.

It has been plated and was once soldered to something.

Whatever happened to that coin was not done in the Mint.

Probably silver or chrome to make it more ornamental
