I cannot give a grading but it maybe helpful for those that can to have a little more light on the crown...

A nice scarce coin. I would grade it VG as there seems to be little detail remaining in the band of the crown and also due to the large number of rim nicks and scratches. Also seems to have quite a bit of verdigris on the reverse.
I dont even have one of these so nice pick up in any grade IMO.

I have a nice EF 1915H halfpenny, with a 1mm square hole right through it. As such, it is worth zilch.
This coin seems to have some severe impact damage on the 'O' and 'M' and the rim, above and behind the crown. To be sure, some magnification of this area would be good. Even so, this coin is worth a whole lot more than mine.

Why is it that people seem compelled to only make jewellery etc out of key of key dates

Thanks everyone. I bought this coin really cheep from sellers junk box. When I got home I check Krause and... I was happy Since Krause is from 2006 and little of date, what do you think this coin should worth now?

Hard to grade from a photo (unless very close up with good lighting) Say VG to F? A low mintage year so not very common. McDonald (Australian Coins and Banknotes) 2012 gives; - VG $65
- F $175
- VF $700
- EF $2000
- aUNC $4250
- UNC $8500
- Choice UNC $16,000
- Gem $22,500
No estimate for Proof so maybe that grade is not known for that year. Mintage is 720,000 As a matter of curiosity, how much did it cost you? Jeff

Looks like you've got 4 pearls in the crown, for me, that would be enough to throw a low grade at it. Fine at best, happier with aFine.

I think $40 would be a fair price for this one. How much did it cost you? I'd love to find one in the dealers junk box!

I Think you possibly purchased the cheapest 1915 half penny since they were removed from circulation and they cost half a penny. Nice job!
