I picked up a tip today consisting of a dollar and half dollar coin at a restaurant where I work as a busser...I was suddenly jolted out of the mindlessness of bussing by thinking..."wait, did someone really tip with a half dollar?" I was pretty convinced that it was someone from this forum, but I'm not sure.

1 golden dollar at the dollar store (what a great place to spend dollar coins, huh)
6 dollars and 4 half dollars at convenience store (several trips)
1 dollar and 1 half at pizza shop
5 dollars and 6 halves at bowling

Wish I could help out more but my bank didn't have any dollar coins to give me this week when I cashed my paycheck. I always try to get a couple rolls to look through then circulate. Actually, I guess I should use the word 'spend' instead of 'circulate', as I'm pretty sure that all the dollar coins I've spent have just been sent back to the banks, and are not actually 'circulated'.
I was happy to hear about WJeeda'S tip find. It made me wonder: What would happen first, circulating $10k of dollar and half dollar coins, or GETTING $100.00 in change of the same coins. Unfortunately, my money is on the 10,000.
