I spent $10 in Ikes and $4 in halves at TD Garden tonight on food. I went to two different cashiers for my purchases; the first cashier had to call someone from security over to make sure they could accept the Ikes, and they eventually did. The second cashier, on the other hand, accepted the halves without a problem. This was $14 total in coins.

Spent 20 halves at Disc Replay.
The kid had to ask a manager if they would accept them. He then told me that I might be able to get more than face value for them :). I told him I hunted halves and these were 1980's rejects but to have fun with them.

7 dollars and 5 halves at the club for drinks and tips

7 dollars at Subway, it was an interesting conversation with the person working there
2 dollars at Rite Aid
1 dollar at grocery store
2 dollars and 1 half for tip at breakfast

I exchanged two Ikes and $3 in halves for a friend's $5 bill. I finally exhausted those 94 Ikes after a month.

Spent $16.50 in halves at Home Depot this morning. I refuse to use the self checkout at any store because they take away jobs but the line at the only open register was 10 deep. I figured I would jam the self checkout with a half dollar and make them push me tot he front of the other line. Well it turns out the self checkouts there DO take half dollars  $30,267.50 to go |
