I put 1 dollar coin and 1 half dollar in the Childrens Hospital collection, spent 2 dollars at Rite Aid, 3 dollars for drinks at coin club meeting, 1 dollar and 1 half at Subway, and 1 dollar at the grocery store. This is $9 total.

I just went on a spending bonanza with halves and dollars; I spent $24 in halves and $3 in SBA's at a Post Office, and $2.50 (two golden dollars and a Kennedy) to complement the paper I paid for a burger meal with. That's a total of $29.50 in coinage. $86,451

Today, my wife brought home $25 worth of the Presidentail and Sacajewa dollars to me. Since I really enjoy the 5 Sacs they will join my stash. I will most likely be replacing the Presidentail coins in the circulating stream at a later date.
I don't know if this will be a qualifying event so I didn't change the counter. If it is I will add future catch and release items to the count.
Just not sure of the ground rules. I have done catch and release in the past as a part of good sportmanship (unless of course if they were worthy of keeping).

Ghostrider, there's a small dollar roll searching thread on this forum now. It would be nice to post the contents of that roll there. Also, I spent 2 G$ for lunch today, $86,447.50 to go.

Cursive, the coins that I was referring to were brought home my wife from her work because she knows that I like these coins. A customer of hers had used them to settle his bill. They were not meant or intended to be a discussion about roll searching in this thread, nor was it an attempt to try and steal this thread.
The real question that I had posted was a question about catching and releasing coins and if the practice was worthy of inclusion in this thread. So let's stay on topic.
edited to correct spelling.
