Sent out five of 'em today. $86 637.50!
Just curious, if the current rumour is correct and we get rid of the bill, will we finish up this project?

I got my 2 rolls of dollar coins from the bank on Monday. I always inspect them for errors or anything interesting. In one of the rolls was a Tyler dollar that had a strange color and some reflection. When I checked the edge it was a 2009-S. I have never gotten a proof coin in a roll before. This was the first. It is definitely impaired but I am keeping it anyway.
I spent 1 half dollar at Chipotle for lunch and 3 dollar coins at Wendys for dinner.
$86,634 to go.

Quote: Just curious, if the current rumour is correct and we get rid of the bill, will we finish up this project? speaking for myself: I receive and spend very few 1 dollar bills. The project should go quicker, but I don't have any idea on how much faster.

Goldens spent today:
$1 for mid-morning snack of cashews
$2 at the bar/burger joint that I Usually frequent on Thursdays: 5 x $6 goldens spent there and already counted in this thread = A $1 burger and side salad today regularly priced at $9. $1 to the bartender after the usual getting club soda and lime for free.
$1 late afternoon snack
$1 random act of kindness: 1 hour of someone else's parking in the campus garage. Tipped him to the fact that if he parks there often, he can get dollar coins at banks to use in the machine, much easier to use than dollar bills.
$5 total
$86,627 to go

I spent $40 in halves at a gas station. The cashier took the four rolls I put on the counter to her manager for him to count. After he verified that I had, in fact, paid with $40, the cashier let me pump my gas.
$86,550 to go.
