I have a retired friend that occasionally uses internet access at her local library.

Well, Nina, you just make it a point to get some of your cash for the week/month in dollar coins and halves, then spend them.

Ahh, Argentum, good point.

Fuzzy, I have my own laptop and internet access--I just always send the dollar coins out the door that I get at work, and soon will be leaving my job.

What's our ETA?

Nina,
Just go to the bank like I do. They are happy to sell me a box at face value.

=================

If you take our average spent per month (SPM),
we should finish sometime January 2017

However, this project was slow at first. So, if you only use the last 4 months for an average SPM,
that should put completion sometime March 2016.

Spent 9 Presidential dollars this week and one 2000 Sacagawea. I've spent a lot more since my last post but I've lost count so I'm just gonna start fresh again this week.

1 Rutherford B Hayes
2 Abraham Lincoln
1 Thomas Jefferson
1 John Quincy Adams
1 James Madison
1 Andrew Johnson
1 James K. Polk
1 John Tyler

1 2000 Sac.

A shame the 2012's haven't been released for circulation. We'd be lucky to get any of the remaining presidents released for circulation if the current demand for dollar coins continues. I must admit though. It's kinda fun spending circulated dollars too. It means they're getting used!

$85,332.50 to go!

UGH. made a mistake trying to use funny money at Target.
My bill was $25.45 and all I had was the following.
1 $5 bill
1 $2 bill
8 $1 bills
10 $1 coins (8 gold and 2 SBA)
1 half

I gave the cashier $25 at first. the bills first then the dollar coins. She liked the $2 bill but thought the dollar coins were quarters (all of them, including the gold ones) This misunderstanding took a pretty lengthy discussion to resolve.
When we both understood that I had just given her $25 I handed her the half.
She had NO idea what it was. none.
I told her a few times that I just needed a nickel back and finally she gave it to me.
I feel sorry for the guy behind me in line. He was obviously unhappy about waiting for her to get the picture.

Anyway.. $85,312.50
