I have a 2010 coa 50 cents but it isn't listed in Rennics. Is this a typo or were these only in mint sets

Probably a mistake. My 2012 McDonald's gives a mintage of 12,464,000

They are not rare at all... I am having trouble deciding how many nice ones to keep and how many to throw back.

I think the rare 50c is the 2000 incuse isn't it? 1985 and 1993 both have a much lower mintage than the rams head also. Any of the federation coins have a much lower mintage as well.
I think that the rams head 50c will actually turn out to be a fizzer like the captain cook 50c from 1970. As so many have been taken from circulation and most of them are in nice condition they will be easy to buy for low prices down the track. Sure they may be scarce in circulation but they don't deserve the prices around the $5 mark they get, especially for circulated ones.

Look at the history of the 1970 captain cook. They were hoarded and soon started getting crazy prices. Now days I cant even get $2 for one in a red specimen case.
4 million is not a excessively low mintage and I am betting on so many of them being in good grade they wont be hard to buy at all.
Warning very simplistic calculatiion ahead: if one in every five people in the country wanted one there would still be enough. One in five people into coin collecting, yeh right!
I would much rather have a high grade 1993 or crappy crappy 2000 incuse if I was 'investing'. Better yet just about any predecimal coin.
Just something I've noticed which may be wrong but most commemerative coins (both predecimal and decimal) turn up in much better grade. This is probably due to them being 'special' and normal people putting them away for a while. Given enough time they enter the market and all of a sudden there is heaps of high grade examples. Before you know it prices fall as people realise they arent hard coins to get.
Example: 1954 florin standard issue - mintage 14,558,000 queens visit- mintage 2,000,000 Value in UNC is almost douuble in my catalogue for the standard issue even though the mintage it over 700% larger.

The cult status,IMO,of the Rams Head started with the rise of ebay in the early 2000's,they were common in circulation for nearly 10 years although people did throw them in draws because of their "uniqueness" compared to the normal drab 50c,this,of course, also applied to the Federation Coins.
