I found a 1975 penny that has copper covering the word trust and most of the 5. Can anyone tell me if it is a misprint and if the flaw is mint made or not? Thanks!

Very interesting. It looks like it got shoved so hard that the metal was forced back.

From your photo it looks like the rim is normal...so that just adds to the puzzle.

I'll be back to see what the experts have to say.

Using the date as a landmark you can see the coin is not round.....something squashed it after it was minted
