Poll Question
For those who get their coins certified, what holder (or TPG) do you prefer. I really like the edge-view holder NGC uses, and have started submitting my coins to them after several years going with PCGS (that's a story for another time).
So, what's your preference?

Poll Choices
 ANACS
 ICG
 NGC
 PCGS

I picked NGC, but I like ANACS and PCGS as companies better, just like the NGC slab, I also liked the SEGS slab as they have the info listed on the top of the holder making it really easy to see a bunch stacked in a box.

My favorite though are the original ANACS small white holder, don't see why the TPG's need to make the slabs so dang big!

I have a Morgan in one of the old small ANACS slab...takes up the whole slab. I did like those holders. Don't like the new ANACS holders :(

Couldn't vote on this one. I have over 3,500 coins and NONE of them are slabbed!

That is a nice thing about the small ANACS holders. They show off small pieces well too. Here's as big a coin a coin as would fit in those little holders:

PCGS's newest holder is similar to the Edgeview NGC holders but clear/translucent instead of white.

You have to pay NGC $5 extra for the scratch resistant, optical grade plastic but, I feel it's worth it :)

I like PCGS because they have highest values. ANACS is great for cent varieties by DIE number etc tho. NGcs have a great look, but I've had some that the coin was kind of loose inside, if you shook it up and down, so with that note...I stray away from NGC

I don't submit coins but my favorite slab is Compugrade. Small like ANACS but clear and made of a denser plastic that gives it more heft in hand.

SEGS is also good due to its more impact resistant plastic that makes it harder to crack and more resistant to chipping. It also has the coin identification visible on the top edge of the slab so you know what is in the slab without having to remove it from the box. ANACS copied that seven years later to great crowing about their "innovation".

As long as it's NGC or PCGS, it really doesn't matter to me. The only thing that I like about PCGS that NGC can't do, is fit into the NGC box with the lid on. But either way, it's not a problem.

I posted a rant in another thread, but to summarize, I think ANACS could double their business with a better looking slab. Even simply going back to the blue from the yellow would make me happy. I voted NGC, but the new PCGS slab is almost as good.

I have ANACS NGC and PCGS holdered coins. I prefer PCGS as a TPG because their slabs, IMHO, fetch higher prices, but NGC holders feel and look so good and they stack really good too. If PCGS used NGC holders the world would be perfect!

It's funny, nobody mentioned ICG. I've never used them.
