Fellow Hunters, I have coins everywhere right now. Half the time I don't know what's been edge searched, individually searched, or loupe/error searched. I have boxes here, baggies there, coin tubes somewhere else. I've even tarted using pill bottles to store some of them, which has helped, but I don't take enough pills to keep up with my collection. I've also started using the cardboard rolls left over from wrapping paper, which is ok but you have to manufacture some end caps, which aren't easy to open and close.

I'm just looking for some tips and tricks on how to get my stuff organized and figured I'm not the only one who could use some help in this department.

I store all my 90% in paper-wraps. Silver dollars, ASE's, I store in hard plastic square coin tubes, in bank safe-deposit. Special large coins get clear clear air-tites. Ideally, I'd like to xfer my 90% silver to square coin tubes, just don't want to foot the bill. Really not crucial for me either way.

I use paper wraps as well for all of my 90% and 40% half dollars. I have a cabinet where I stack my loose finds and once I have a full roll I put them in a paper wrap and write what it is on the outside. Full rolls go in the safe.

Clad to be dumped goes back in the box and stacked up until I can make a trip to the dump bank. I usually mark the top of the box with a sharpie so it is obvious to me what I have already searched.

I just make sure I finish with one batch before I get any more. I dont have all that many yet since I am new to the game, but I have the keepers in rolls and I keep all my silvers and good stuff in 2X2s in a 3 ring binder, or in Whitman folders. I have a small safe that I keep them in and it is full to the brim. I might have to consolidate soon. Champagne problems eh?

Throw in a coffee can until you get to 1,000 face value. Then sell for cash, convert to gold.
