At least he isn't someone who specifically sells just coins. I suppose I can give him a "pass" as he probably has zero coin knowledge.

Sounds like this individual knows almost nothing about coins and thought it was legit. The seller seems honest...

My only problem is that the thing actually has a bid.
Rest in Peace

I've been seeing more & more crap on ebay like this lately and the sad part is a lot of people are bidding on it.Sometimes I do say something to the seller trying to explain what they have and most of the time I get no response.A few days ago I explained to a seller that his double struck coin was a vise job and he proceeded to tell me where to go something about my mom with a lot of cuss words and so on. ebay has become very tiresome to me.

I saw this auction and sent the seller a message as well. I personally think the auction should have been pulled myself. I've only been collecting for 6 months, so I'm definitely no expert, and learning everyday. I just wanted to make sure they were aware of this "error" claim. The seller did post the message to the auction.
*Me This coin you are selling is not an error coin. It is caused by a coin counting machine. Its not honest if you sell this coin with this claim.
*Seller Hi, Thank you for you the info. I have no clue what happened to this coin. I'm not trying to be dishonest and glad you have knowledge of this type of thing. Will be glad to cancel any bids if this is the outcome from a counting machine. All bids are off if your claim is true and monies refunded. Lor
*Me I saw you didn't know much about the coin, that's why I sent you the message, not to accuse you of anything. Many beginning coin collectors mistake that as an error, as did myself at one time, only to be disappointed at what it really was.
*Seller Hi, Have posted your message to my auction with my response. Thank you for your input. Lor
*Seller Hello, Maybe someone will get a kick out of having a strike from a counting machine but at least everyone will know why it happened. Not everyone would send a note and tell me, but when they do, I post it. Thanks, again. Lor
