I got 70, brand new, crisp, consecutive numbered, 2009, $1 Star notes at the bank today. Question is: Are these worth keeping or should I offer them on ebay or here?

They are numbered:
D 00770801 * through D 00770871 *
They had at least three more straps of 100 (probably in this same numbering scheme) but I didn't have that much cash on me and it wasn't my bank.
Maybe I should go back tomorrow to get 'em.

Worse case scenario...they will be worth face value. More than likely a little bit more though. If you do sell them, past experience has indicated that the more you break them down (singly versus lots) should bring in more. Although you could experiment with a strap of 100 for one bid to save some time and effort.

2009 D* straps (100 notes) are going for $150 and up. Seen it as high as around $300.
IF you can get the 0077 0701* strap you should get more for it as it would have 0/7 binaries in it.

That's the answer I was looking for.
I'm off to the bank and will let you know what I find.

A few months ago the same thing happened to me. I went to the bank to get some $1 for work. I asked for $100 worth. The teller handed me 100 consecutive star notes. I asked her if she had any more and she checked around and found 3 more straps. I asked to to withdraw 400 dollars from my account. I bought the 4 straps and gave the old bills to my work. I was going to sell them on ebay but after calling around to some local coin shops I found one who would give me $140 per strap. I sold him all four and made a $160 profit just for being in the right place at the right time. Moral of the story is go back to the bank fast and buy them all!!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained...nice quick turn for profit! Did you do a scan for "special" S/N's?
