A few trails have popped up and Bob Piazza found a minor 2012 DDO last week.

Quote:Where was the 2012 DDO listed? It's not listed..may never be because it is too minor...but he's saving it just in case.

Doubled dies are not errors.
Errors happen every year, and are generally not categoric, so asking the question the OP asked here is actually pointless. Because one person finds a broadstruck coin doesn't mean there's another one like it anywhere.
Asking the same question in reference to die varieties has merit. One known doubled die means there are likely hundreds of thousands more out there somewhere.

The OP already had it, but the title has been fixed to include Varieties.
