Ok, I hope these pics are a little better. I'm working with a new camera (Nikon S4300) and still learning some of its features. Tell me what you think.

I am not sure if this is for grading? But if it is, I will say AU-55

Thanks Morgandude.. Canadien, I appreciate the input. I know for grading opinions I should post them to another sub-forum but I wanted to try out new camera and just post the pics for show and tell. :)

These are better! Try to get the lighting a bit more on the cheek and such that we can see these beautiful, unscathed fields all the way around. Two identical lights are better than one, and if you can't do that, try a couple of pictures of each side from slightly different light incidence angles.

These are even better than the first, well done!

The new photos (which are much better!) show a higher-grade coin with few marks and decent luster. Strike is a bit soft over Miss Liberty's ear (typical for New Orleans Morgan dollars) but the breast feathers are sharper than usual. There are some very faint diagonal lines in the lower-right reverse fields that might indicate some kind of light cleaning, or they could be planchet striations, or totally imaginary. I still think there is a bit of darkening in the fields and on Liberty's cheek caused by light friction so I'll peg the grade as AU-58.
